Élévation - Elevation Description   Details   Cast & Crew    Creative theatre on deck for the tenth edition of the Ottawa fringe Festival Ottawa, June 14, 2006 – A fantastic romp through a mystical world escorted by fabulous creatures on stilts. What better way to spend your time at the Fringe? For the sixth consecutive year, Productions Nemesis is presenting a unique show during the Ottawa Fringe Festival, which is on from June 15th to 25th, 2006. Elevation / Élévation is a bilingual and interactive show, complete with characters on stilts that will entertain their audiences in the park adjacent to the University of Ottawa’s Tabaret building. This show marks the last collaboration between Productions Nemesis and its co-president and co-founder, Guy Marsan. “To me, Elevation is a project that attempts to create a fantastical and zany world by reaching into the creative spirit of the public’s imagination,” says Marsan. “Elevation looks to go beyond the borders between animal and human. But it’s also my last show with Productions Nemesis, so it promises to be fun, too!” There will be eight showings of Elevation during the Fringe Festival. A donation of $5 per spectator is suggested for this family-friendly show. Elevation’s schedule: Friday, June 16th at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 17th and Sunday June 18th at 1:00 and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 20th, Wednesday, June 21st and Thursday, June 22nd at 7:30 p.m. Élévation follows five years of Productions Nemesis successes at the Fringe, thanks to Conversations, Peau des ongles, Intolérance au velours, Les fourberies de Molière ou Le Molière imaginaire, an homage to Molière that won a Best of Venue Fringe prize in 2004, and La Reine a cassé sa pipe, the Ottawa Fringe Festival’s first francophone musical. Productions Nemesis is a volunteer-based bilingual theatre company that was founded in January 2001.
